Mr. Hamada’s extensive training includes prestigious fellowships in cornea, refractive surgery, and anterior segment procedures. His education spans some of the world’s leading institutions, and he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth), Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd), and a Fellow of both the International Society of Refractive Surgery (ISRS) and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
He formerly served as the Clinical Lead for the Corneoplastic Unit and Eye Bank at the prestigious Queen Victoria Hospital, where he developed it into a prominent centre for corneal and anterior segment surgery, oculoplastics, and glaucoma. He now works as an Ophthalmic Consultant Surgeon at Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Trust and is the founder and Medical Director of Eye Clinic London.
As a specialist in advanced intraocular lenses, Mr. Hamada is adept at tailoring solutions to meet his patients' unique vision goals. He has been at the forefront of introducing trifocal and extended depth-of-focus (EDOF) lenses, providing patients with exceptional clarity and minimal dependence on glasses. A very friendly experience from beginning to end. The staff were great and the consultant Mr Hamada was excellent at easing any fears I had. Surgery was painless and quick, staff were very reassuring. Would certainly recommend this clinic to anyone who has cataracts and decides on RLE treatment.
